World Religion Day 2016

The third Sunday in January is annually celebrated as World Religion Day. It was established by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of the United States in 1950 as a way to encourage interfaith understanding.
This year the theme is PEACE.

DCIF – UN INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE 2015

DCIF will hold an annual event to mark the UN International Day of Peace. Leaders and members of many of the different faith communities in the city will come together to celebrate our common commitment to peace and to celebrate the diversity of our traditions.
This years event will involve a service with readings and music from the different faith communities.
World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel

The Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF) of the World Council of Churches invites member churches, faith–based communities, and civil society organizations around the world to join together in 2015 for a week of advocacy and action in support of an end to the illegal occupation of Palestine and a just peace for all in Palestine and Israel. Congregations and individuals around the globe who share the hope of justice shall unite during the week to take peaceful actions, together, to create a common international public witness.
The theme of the week in 2015 is: “God has broken down the dividing walls”
